Map Viewer Help

Draw a box around the area where you want to zoom in. Alternatively you can click once and it will zoom in by a standard interval. |

Click once and it will zoom out by a standard amount. If you draw a box it will zoom out in proportion to the box that you draw. For example a smaller box will result in zoom out a greater distance. |
pan |
click on the area of the map where you want to move. Click and drag way from the area. |
Full Extent |
Click on the Button and it will zoom to the full extent of the Haywood County.
the actual extent may vary due to different screen sizes. |
Identify |
Click on a feature on the map. All features that intersect that point will be identified. The results will be display in a box to the left of the map. |
Zoom Previous |
Clicking on this button will change the map extent to your last map extent. It serves as a back key for the map. |
Measure |
Clicking on this button will bring up the measure toolbar in the top left part of the screen. This toolbar can be moved to whereever you like it. |
Clear Selection |
Clicking this tool will clear any graphics layer from the map. Graphic layers include: selected features, geocode results, selected parcel adjoiners and identified feature selections. |

| Point Tool | Click on the map to return the coordinate location of the point. The map units for the map is North Carolina State Plane Feet. That is the default units return from the tool. |
| Line Tool | Click on the map and draw a line. Double-click to end the line. Total Length and Segment length of the line that you drew will be showed below the measure toolbar. |
| Area Tool | Click on the map to draw a polygon. Double-click to end the polygon. The Area and the perimeter of the polygon that you drew will show up below the measure toolbar. You can change the units of the results by by using the drop down buttons for area and perimeter. |
